Andrew Chen is a Senior Financial Analyst at Faris Lee Investments where he is responsible for the underwriting and valuation of real estate investments, creation of investment packages, and proposals to clients/lenders and internal management, deal structuring, client management, and capital partner relationship management. 

Prior to joining Faris Lee Investments, Andrew worked on the Asset Management and Operations team for The Picerne Group, where he was responsible for managing pricing and operations for a 4,000 unit stabilized and lease-up portfolio in Western United States, as well as analyzing value-add opportunities and reinvestment strategies. 

Prior to The Picerne Group, Andrew held various financial analyst roles at Quantum Capital Partners, a boutique commercial real estate brokerage company, and Bellwether Real Estate Capital and Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, both full-service mortgage banking companies. There, he assisted in the underwriting and due diligence of commercial mortgage loans, placement of debt and equity transactions across all product types, and worked extensively as a correspondent for life insurance companies. 

Andrew has experience structuring transactions involving permanent financing, construction financing, bridge and mezzanine loans and equity capital for a variety of property types. Throughout his career, Andrew has been involved in the origination and underwriting of over $1.4 billion worth of debt and equity transactions.

Andrew graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA in Mathematics and holds a certification in Real Estate with a Concentration in Investments from UCLA. 

During free time, Andrew enjoys building predictive models (neural networks, etc.) to enhance real estate operational efficiency, tokenizing value-add JV equity opportunities, investing in and redeveloping multifamily real estate, and growing his long-time cryptocurrency perma-bull mentality. Andrew’s hobbies include hiking, swimming, golfing, playing strategy board games, soccer, tennis and piano.
