Clarence Wong is Manager, Financial Analysis & Research, at Faris Lee Investments. Mr. Wong is responsible for financial underwriting, strategic market research and due diligence for disposition assignments and deal-match acquisitions of various risk profiles. With over 15 years of experience in real estate advisory, research, and private equity, Mr. Wong has underwritten and valued over $2.8 billion in retail, office, flex/industrial, and multifamily/senior housing properties.

At Faris Lee Investments, Mr. Wong analyzes, interprets, and models property-level financial/operating data, including complex expense CAM pools, reimbursement slippage, lease roll-over, downtime, deferred maintenance and impending loan maturity, to provide recommendations on repositioning assets for value creation. Besides underwriting listings, he assists with due diligence to facilitate closing of transactions. He also leverages his strong research background to perform custom analysis for business development and uncover potential buyers for listings.

Before joining Faris Lee Investments, Mr. Wong worked at real estate private equity firms KORE Investments and MIG Real Estate. At KORE, he underwrote core/core-plus and value-add office in Colorado, and at MIG, he underwrote value-add light industrial and multifamily in Western U.S. and Sunbelt states. While at MIG, Mr. Wong also analyzed and identified target corridors for real estate investment using a variety of real estate, demographic, and economic data. Prior to that, Mr. Wong held various research and analytic roles at CoStar Group including Research Manager for Colorado, Salt Lake City & Kansas City and Senior Market Analyst for the U.S.

Mr. Wong holds a B.A. in Economics from UC San Diego (UCSD) and a M.S. in Real Estate from University of San Diego (USD). He is certified in ARGUS (ASC) and Excel Real Estate Financial Modeling (REFM), and is also a licensed salesperson in CA and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) candidate. During graduate school, Mr. Wong was a member of the 1st Place USD winning team for the ARGUS Software University Challenge and was also selected by the Real Estate Research Institute (RERI) on scholarship to attend its annual conference in Chicago. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and keeping up with real estate trends.
