UPDATED, 2:30 p.m., Dec. 5: Nourmand & Associates just landed a big catch. The luxury brokerage poached the Kostrey Collection from Keller Williams for its Hollywood office. Led by agent John Kostrey, the team ranked No. 1 at Keller Williams’ Hancock Park division.
Kostrey is joined by realtors Katharine Deering, Samantha McMillin and Sarah McMaster. Prior to his 10-year career in real estate, Kostrey worked as an entertainment lawyer. In addition to Hancock Park, his other neighborhoods of expertise include Windsor Square and Larchmont Village.
Meanwhile, JLL also has a fresh but familiar face: Jon Lange will join the brokerage’s Capital Markets division as a senior vice president. Working out of a DTLA office, he will focus on office assets in Southern California and work with the investment sales team. Lange is not new to JLL; he joined the firm in 2007 as a tenant representation broker in Phoenix, Arizona.
Lange acquired an MBA at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School before joining CIM, where he was involved in more than $1.5 billion worth of deals.
Matthews Retail Advisors just lost its national director, Patrick Toomey, who recently jumped ship for Faris Lee Investments. At Faris Lee, Toomey will anchor its new L.A.-area office in El Segundo as a senior managing director. He will lead client development and focus on increasing transaction volume.
At Matthews, Toomey led the shopping center division, under which he closed 150 deals.
Correction: A previous version of this story misstated that Jon Lange left CIM to join JLL in 2007. He worked for JLL before taking a post at CIM, but has now returned to the brokerage.
